César joins the Madrid office in July 2021, following his extensive experience as a lecturer in various areas of law at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Previously, he was Counsel at Andersen Tax & Legal from 2011 to 2015 and General Secretary of the Legal Study of the aforementioned University Carlos III of Madrid from 1995 to 2007.

César is an expert drafting legal opinions, elaborating and reviewing contracts, as well as handling the legal management of complex contentious matters in the defense of competition (vertical and horizontal cartels, abuse of dominant position or economic concentrations, among others), unfair competition, industrial and intellectual property, national and international commercial contracts, company law and insolvency law.

As regards arbitration proceedings, César has been an arbitrator at Autocontrol de la Publicidad since 2009 and at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce since 2011. He also acts as counsel in arbitration proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

César has devoted a large part of his professional career to writing a wide variety of books and publications for national journals. Among his most outstanding publications, we find “El Derecho de la competencia, comercio electrónico y marcas” (Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch, Valencia, 2014), of which he is the author, or “La nueva legislación española ante la evolución del Derecho de la Competencia” (Editorial Marcial Pons, Madrid, 2010), of which he is co-author together with Mr. Luis Berenguer Fuster and Mr. Antonio Robles Martín-Laborda.

Currently, and for more than 20 years, César has been a lecturer of Competition and Commercial Law at the University Carlos III of Madrid, Director of the Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy at the University Carlos III of Madrid and Director of the Specialist Degree in Corporate Law and Control of Legal Risks in Business (Compliance) at the same University.

He is also a speaker at prestigious institutions and promotes and organises different colloquiums-debates for the Alumni Club of the Master’s Degree in Legal Consultancy.
